"The positive impact Shackelford has had on students played out in a display of respect this summer during the annual Miss Bear Paw Pageant. As part of the competition, contestants are required to wear an Alaska-style costume.
Bianca Temple walked onto the stage dressed as everyone's favorite APD officer, Wendi Shackelford.
"That was really an honor," Shackelford said. "You always wonder how the people you work with every day perceive you and she did a wonderful job. I took it as a true sign of respect and as encouragement that I am doing something positive in the schools."
