"The 2008 Miss Chugiak-Eagle River Scholarship Pageant will be 7 p.m. Saturday in Chugiak High School's Steve Primus Auditorium.
Among the 13 contestants are Veronica Temple, Melissa Arvidson, Kasey Kavanaugh, Sierra Slade, Krystina McClain, Jessica Pifer, Sarah Lochner, Christina Roper, Stephany Jeffers, Sarah Temple and Briannah Diaz. All the contestants are from the Chugiak-Eagle River area and will compete in categories ranging from talent to evening wear.
Miss Chugiak-Eagle River 2007 Summer Snodgrass, Miss Birchwood 2007 Michelle Wilkins and Miss Chugiak-Eagle River's Outstanding Teen Brooke Diaz will perform and emcee the event. Bobbi Wells will be honored as Queen Regent as well."
